TCL NXTVISION is a proprietary advanced display optimization and camera technology used on the TCL 10 and TCL 20 Series of TCL Mobile phones, so you can see your screen come to life with enriched color, clarity, and contrast enhancement as well as SDR to HDR conversion in real-time and have an elevated camera experience.
NXTPAPER
The company's proprietary NXTPAPER display technology is the artistic combination of screen and paper. This provides Full-HD definition with display technology that offers a paper-like visual experience in full color with no flicker and no harmful blue light. TCL achieves this by combining a highly reflective screen that uses TCL display technology to reuse natural light and has received eye protection certifications from the German Rhine laboratory as well as SGS laboratory and German VDE.

NXTPAPER tablet will be the first commercially available tablet to use TCL's innovative NXTPAPER display technology

Leveraging the company's expertise in display manufacturing, the NXTPAPER will be the first commercially available tablet to use TCL's innovative new NXTPAPER display technology, and the TCL TAB 10s provides an affordable learning experience with a large screen and stylus.

"NXTPAPER is a prime example of the Display Greatness philosophy that TCL Mobile has embodied since it launched over a year ago, and showcases how a vertically integrated ecosystem can help produce innovative new products quickly and affordably," said Stefan Streit, General Manager of Global Marketing for TCL Communication. "This new type of display will directly benefit remote workers and students alike, bringing new features that help encourage productivity, make life easier, and keep our eyes safe."

The company's proprietary NXTPAPER technology, announced last fall at IFA 2020 in Berlin, achieves stunning display performance with a highly reflective IPS screen that utilizes innovative TCL technology to reuse natural light, resulting in vivid, full-color reproduction with no blue light or flicker. TCL NXTPAPER display technology provides 25 percent higher contrast than most e-ink tablets and is also more than 65 percent more power efficient than standard LCD screens, providing better battery life and efficiency. It also provides for smoother video playback, ensuring optimized entertainment for learning, work and leisure activities.

Designed specifically for larger format devices, NXTPAPER provides a paper-like visual experience in full high-definition resolution, and with considerably less eye strain and fatigue compared to most tablets.

OLED Scrolling Display
Re-defining Standards for Portable Devices
The flexible 17-inch Printed OLED Scrolling Display, at just 0.18mm thick, is a unique example of a larger-scale flexible display technology. Highly scrollable and portable, it can easily fit in anywhere, just like a scroll painting.

Benefiting from TCL CSOT's cutting-edge ink jet printing technology, with a 100% color gamut, it significantly enhances the quality of the display. It can be widely applied across flexible TVs, curved and foldable displays, and transparent commercial displays.

Its OLED RGB self-luminous devices are manufactured with high-precision ink jet printing technology, without the need for fine metal masks. As a result, the cost is 20% lower than traditional display technologies and is more applicable for large-size displays and mass production.

AMOLED Rollable Display
Re-defining Standards for Portable Devices
The portable 6.7-inch AMOLED Rollable Display re-defines the standard form of a smartphone. With a rollable AMOLED display, it can be extended from 6.7-inches to 7.8-inches with a simple tap of the finger, turning it from a smartphone into a tablet and creating an entirely new user experience with its easily adaptable user interface. The smartphone is less than 10mm thick, making it significantly thinner than the foldable smartphone.

Through the enhanced design of the smartphone's flexible screen, the curling and sliding radius of the flexible screen can be as small as R3mm, combined with the special sliding mechanism design. With the simple swipe of a button, the screen originally curled and hidden inside the case can be pulled out, therefore enabling the phone to stretch out and draw back. The sliding life of the device is up to 100,000 times. The software interface can be adapted accordingly for single-hand use or multi-tasking.

This year, reports published by Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) have further highlighted the huge potential of the display market. In its OLED material market forecasts report, DSCC projected that the AMOLED stack material market will grow from $951 million in 2019 to reach $2.69 billion in 2024 at a CAGR of 23%. Specifically, in another foldable/rollable display shipment and technology report, DSCC forecasted an 80% CAGR increase in foldable/rollable smartphone revenues from 2020 to 2025, reaching $105 billion.
Mini LED Technology
Once Again Pioneering in Display Industry
TCL Electronics (1070.HK), one of the dominant players in the global TV industry and a leading consumer electronics company, today debuts its OD Zero TM Mini-LED technology at CES 2021. The rollout of high-performance and ultra-slim TCL TVs that will feature OD Zero Technology will be announced closer to its sales launch later this year. OD Zero is a technology that combines TCL's latest generation Mini-LED backlight technology driven by its skilled in-house technology development and deployed with its powerful vertical integration to deliver an ultra-slim profile that has never been achieved with LED LCD TVs before. Delivering striking brightness with even richer colors, precise contrast, and smooth uniformity, OD Zero outperforms previous TCL Mini-LED technology.

OD Zero represents the optical distance between the Mini-LED backlight layer and the LCD display layer (diffuser plate), which has now been reduced to an astonishing 0 mm, to create an ultra-thin high-performance backlight module.

With TCL's on-going investments in display technology, this latest generation of TV Mini-LED backlight is made possible by TCL's deep expertise in micro-meter class active-matrix LED backlights, skilled optical stack optimizations and its powerful vertically integrated supply chain that can more quickly iterate the most advanced display technologies on TCL televisions. This unique set of display expertise and deep industrial integration allows TCL to be at the forefront of advanced display technologies like the extraordinarily precise, smoothly brilliant and ultra slim OD Zero Mini-LED Technology.

"We believe that Mini-LED technology will continue to shape the TV industry and by pioneering the use of this technology we are, once again, elevating display quality," said Kevin Wang, CEO of TCL Industrial Holdings and TCL Electronics. "After deploying previous versions of Mini-LED already, in 2021 we will launch the world's first OD Zero Mini-LED TV as part of TCL's endeavor to let people around the world 'Experience More'."

Striking Performance

Along with smoothly brilliant luminance and new level of High Dynamic Range, TCL OD Zero Mini-LED provides users with a richer color layer, more depth of details and an unrivalled viewing experience of striking and uniform brightness.

This high uniformity is achieved by reducing the distance between the light source and the diffuser plate. This effectively controls the range of astigmatism, improves the contrast and minimizes optical halo effect.

With thousands of local dimming zones that allow the brightness to be adjusted in real-time alongside the corresponding backlight areas, TCL OD Zero Mini-LED delivers superb precision in contrast control.

This improves the image performance, reveals remarkably accurate pictures and provides brilliant whites alongside deep blacks. Viewers can enjoy a more realistic picture and even sharper details than ever before.

Dramatically Ultra-Thin

TCL`s OD Zero technology uses smaller LEDs and a brand-new lens design, with more light sources, which allows us to minimize the distance between the light source and the panel to an astonishing zero millimeters. It improves the consistency of the brightness while, at the same time, it reaches a new level of thickness, making an ultra-thin TV profile possible.

Continual Technology Development

TCL has been harnessing the transformative power of Mini-LEDs since 2018. We showcased our first Mini-LED product at IFA 2018 and we have been investing in this next-generation display technology ever since.

In 2019 we achieved mass production and launched the world`s first Mini-LED TV X10 and 8 Series (for US market)to the market and in 2020 we proudly introduced 6-Series Mini-LED models(for US market).
