The Dual-5000 Mini LED technology is built upon the major breakthroughs TCL made with its Mini LED Six-crystal chip. The Six-crystal chip applies a more even and tighter design, which provides more uniform light emission and has 27.5% increase in brightness, and 30.2% increase in energy efficiency.
In order to have the full potential of the “Dual 5000”, it is equipped with 1296 backlight chips, with 16-bit dual-mode drive, allowing high energy efficiency while reducing flicker for better eye protection.
On top of the Six-crystal chip, TCL has adopted the industry's first “Lighthouse Luminance Technology”, making a breakthrough in increasing the luminance angle while keeping the TV thickness to the minimum.
TCL also applies a sophisticated micro-lens onto each Mini LED light source, to improve energy focus. With the Lighthouse Luminance Technology, in the same number of zones, and without sacrificing the slimness of the TV, each Mini LED achieves a 33% increase in concentration angles and a 210% increase in light control precision, resulting in less halo effect and significant improvements to overall image brightness and contrast.
